Our THS Tulip which you receive will continue on a quarterly basis, with great articles and also the Sofa and Rack quizzes. We also welcome article contribution from any THS members, do write to us and share your thoughts with the rest of the hunting community.


3) THS 2015 Gold League - Penang & KL
We are proud to announce the creation of a Gold League for 2015 in Penang and KL, where the Top 5 ranked individuals (based on highest points over 3 Penang legs / 4 KL legs) in the gold category will win cash prizes for their achievements.

*Points for KL League will be measured only for the 4 KL hunts, while Penang League points are measured over the 3 PEN hunts, exclusively

THS Members Communication - March 2013

1. Calendar of Events

We are pleased to announce an exciting list of THS organized events lined up for 2013 for those of you who are residing in or able to make the trip to the Klang Valley. Our hunt calendar will commence on 23 March 13 with the THS Walk Hunt Leg 1.

A new addition to our hunt calendar will be a mouth-watering event to look forward to, our inaugural THS Motor Hunt (Diamond and Gold categories), which is tentatively slotted for 6 April 13. There is also a likelihood that a number of festive hunts may be added to the calendar towards the second half of the year (to be announced later).

For the other Regions, we will publish the calendar as soon as it has been finalized. So, do look out for our future announcements via email, Facebook or on our website.

2. Membership Renewal

It has come to our attention that the membership of some of our members have lapsed or will become due in March or April 2013 (all of you in the To list). To renew your membership, kindly fill up the attached Membership Application_Renewal Form and return it to us via one of the following means:

a) Fax the form to us @ (603) 7804 5969 with the bank deposit slip (of amount RM50) as proof of payment.

b) Email the form to us @ info@thsmalaysia.org with the bank deposit slip (of amount RM50) as proof of payment.

c) Join us for the walk hunt on Saturday, 23 March 13 and submit the form on the spot together with the payment (of amount RM50).

Kindly do not allow your membership to lapse more than 3 months or we may have to strike off your membership and you will be charged the RM20 administrative fees to reinstate yourself as a member. But not to worry, we will continue to send out reminders at least a month before your membership falls due. 

3. THS Annual General Meeting (AGM)

As members, you are all invited to attend our coming AGM which will be held immediately after the walk hunt. In conjunction with the AGM as well as to entice you to join both events, the THS committee has agreed to subsidize a portion of the walk hunt hunt fees. As members, you will need to pay only RM20 instead of RM26 to join the hunt (which will include a sumptuous lunch at the Original Kayu Nasi Kandar Restaurant) while attendance to the AGM is free-of-charge, of course!

Even if you cannot make it for the hunt, do drop-in to listen to our President yak about our achievements for 2012 and the society's exciting plans for 2013. Other items on the agenda include an announcement by our Treasurer of our society's closing Balance Sheet for 2012.

Date: Saturday, 23 Mar 2013.

Time: 2.00 - 4.00 pm.

Place: 1st Floor, Original Kayu Nasi Kandar @ Kota Damansara.

Attached is the Entry Form for the walk hunt. Please indicate on the form if you are able to stay for the AGM. And for those who cannot make it for the hunt but would like to attend the AGM anyway, please RSVP to us via email @ info@thsmalaysia.org.

4. Souvenir for Members (2012)

If you have not collected your Souvenir for Members (2012), a very useful item for hunters (a custom-designed THS Clipboard), please write to us and we will find a way to pass the item to you in the coming weeks.

Calling all treasure hunters!

Treasure Hunt Society of Malaysia (THS) needs you!

It doesn’t matter whether you are a die-hard hunt addict (who plans your weekend, based on Hunt Calendar), a seasonal participant (who occasionally jumps on the bandwagon, when lucrative hunts come along) or a newbie (who has tasted the thrill and excitement of your virgin hunt at first try).

Neither does it matter if your years of hunting are longer than Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign at Old Trafford; nor if the hunt achievement in your resume far exceeds the collection of his trophies.

As long as you have joined a treasure hunt before, and you genuinely wish that such great experience can be further shared with a wider public, then please read on!



If you have a golden chance to improve the treasure hunt in Malaysia, what would you wish for?

Standardised rules on treasure hunt? More affordable events? Less dispute on the definition of beginners? Or perhaps a society to address most of these pervading issues?

Well…. the time has come for you to pledge allegiance to this wonderful activity that we have come to enjoy!

HNN has been closely monitoring the formation and progress of THS. In fact, HNN’s maiden article on the blog was on THS and its inaugural meeting on 16^th Jan 2011 (read here).

Since then, the protem committee members have selflessly invested considerable efforts and time to get THS up and running. These include numerous emails and meetings, the formation of THS constitution, the setting up of THS website and Facebook, the opening of bank account and a few visits to the ROS (Registrar of Societies) with THS officially registered on 23^rd Sep 2011.

Now 10 months later, the dream for a society to represent all hunters has finally become a reality! With the foundation and structure in place, the door is now open for hunters to register as members.

The remaining question is that ……
As a hunter, what are you going to do to help promote this sport?

Perhaps you can start by checking out THS website and THS Facebook, help to spread the words around, join THS, come to its first AGM on 20^th Nov 2011 and support its subsequent activities.

Every single effort, big or small, does count! Your continuous support does matter and make the difference!

The hunt bugle has been blown!

Let’s march towards to a brighter future for the sport that we have come to love and know as treasure hunt!!!
