Bernama editor-in-chief Datuk Yong Soo Heong said the hunt was part of KKB’s charity programme besides encouraging local tourism activity. It was first introduced in Peninsular Malaysia in 1988.
“We are confident that the programme can help in encouraging local tourism activities, specifically in promoting the unique cultural heritage of the Land of Hornbills,” said Yong, who is KKB president.
He said that apart from taking part in a recreational activity, participants would also help contribute towards Rumah Seri Kenangan old folks’ home, here. The heritage trail event took place until the afternoon and was followed by a closing ceremony where several cultural performances and a lucky draw was held at the Kuching Waterfront. — Bernama
