HNN HUNT STATISTICS 2011

With the passing of 2011, it'll be interesting to compile some statistical data about treasure hunts during the year.

On record, 2011 has a total of 61 open hunts, organised by 29 COCs (Clerks of Course) or Technical Advisors.

COC Pava's Hunts and Time Out Solution had the highest number of open hunts in 2011 (6 each).

The most popular month for treasure hunts in 2011 seems to be July (10 hunts), followed closely by October (9 hunts), while the least popular month is August, as it was the fasting month. Had it not due to the last-minute cancellation of 4 hunts, December would have been a record month too!

You can find more interesting charts about the hunt events, COCs and the achievement of treasure hunters below.

The tables and charts are tabulated, based on the result of 61 hunts compiled in HNN's 2011 Hunt Results.

HNN would like to take this opportunity to thank hunters Michael Pang, Chong Voon Kiat, Lim Ming Yang, Claire Chin, Jayaram Menon, Yeoh Ban Lye, Sin Yoong Leong, Lim Soo Khian, Wan Kamal Azlan, Cornelius Koh, all COCs (especially Pava's Hunts, Trailblazers, Purple Antz) and other unsung heroes who had helped in the compilation of result and winner's photos.

Please note that the above tables of podium finishers have NOT included the results of H14 GBS Discovering Malaysia Online Hunt (weekly winners) and H23 Treasure Hunt Musim Ke-2 Godaan Cherating (no names of winning members).

Should there be any miscalculation in the above tables, please post a comment here, so that any corrections can be promptly done.

What a super job you have done, CM.
The work involved and the effort put in to collect these revealing data is just awesome.

And congrats to Claire Chin for being the top hunter in 2011.

Good job Liong!

It took a lot of effort compiling all the results, news and latest happenings into 1 place. If you dont mind, I've shared this link on my facebook wall as well.

2011 was an exciting year for me and the team. I'll be taking a (short...hopefully) break from hunting this year, due to work commitments. Hope to see you guys again soon.

Keep up the good work, I'll be following this blog closely for the latest updates. :)

Thanks Jay and Wan Kamal for your kind words!

I've always imagined that it'll be nice if someone can compile some statistical hunt data, after each year end, as a wrap-up for closure!

Since HNN has most of the info, I thought that I might as well do it.

If anyone out there wants more statistics on other hunt aspects, pls feel free to propose!

Hi Chian Min,

I would like to propose your site maintain a Hall of Fames, not to be confused with TOS. Your List should be hunt results oriented base on accumulation of hunt winning starting from year 2011. For example,

20 WINS and above
Hunter A

15 WINS
Hunter B
Hunter C

10 WINS
Hunter D
Hunter E

MINIMUM 5 WINS
Hunter F
Hunter G

Those in the list should be truly masters and grandmasters, as you can won one of the less competitive or challenge based hunt, and you can tell everyone you are non masters due to the nature of hunt. But once you have did it at least 5 times, you are sureky a master or whatever rank you want to address him. Also since this Hall of Fame is accumulative one, it will enciurage hunters to continue hunting as you reach 20 WINS kevel, you might want to aim for 25 WINS and so on. It might not be a good thing though for the rest of the hunters. ;-)

Thanks for the proposal, CK Loh!
That can be taken into consideration in HNN!
